csound software package provides powerful and versatile sound synthesis software, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install csound
csound is installed in your system.
Make ensure the csound package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep csound *
You will get with csound package name, version, architecture and description in a table
